This happens ONLY when the project competitions are a day too close!! :((
And 14 hours per day outside the house .. that's just getting to me .. not to mention .. the travelling even more so!!
And I'd like to kick a few people in the arse. :|

tch tch tch ... how can you give up so fast.
It should get to you when you leave lab at 3am only to be back at 8am AND after 3 weeks you realise that the assumption you are working with does not hold on the so called standard datasets !!!!

a) I anyway dont/cant chat with her on any other client
b) This is SERIOUS RESEARCH we are discussing :D. So it is more of an intellectual conversation than a casual chat.

Well you obviously cannot stereotype all IITians that way :D Infact down the years, the number of students going for grad studies is declining rapidly due to the high paying jobs and stuff. The higher pay scales are actually from non techie companies. I think a safe stereotyping is that all IITians (like all people) are inclined towards money.

@rt : No, definitely not ALL iitians are inclined towards R&D ..
rather, as i see in insti today, the trend is totally drifting towards financial and management related companies.
but kuchh bhoole-bhatke aaj bhi pahuch jate hain R&D mein..

And yeah, i know you otherwise too coz u prolly know one Rege in Baltimore (prolly a year or two senior to you doing phd) who i also know somehow..

"Orgies" happens to be the name of a wing in H7 :D
since u r so curious, mine is 'pirates'.. and for your entertainment, there are other weirder names like 'Daaru wing', 'Loony tunes', 'JungleX', 'Diabolics', 'Kota wing', 'Catapults' and so on.. brings back lots of memories, Golu, doesnt it? :)
@Golu : talking of memories, just for info, the new maint staff here drew Ch@du away from hostel.. now, he resides in H3 or somewhere..
@Abhi: Hahaha you embarass me now. I was just ok. I dabbled at a few things and I would restrict it to that. I was never great or anything (except for in size). Talking about wings, I was from "Vampires", which happened to be right across to "Orgy". But I guess I did spend sufficient time over there, considering the lead guitarist of our band used to hang out there a lot.
As for the dog, I guess after all my wingmates got a hostel change for ragging, he too lost any enthu to stay in the hostel.
